I haven’t used mp finish nor bg spray finish,so can’t really help with the striping. Did you sponge it? Think it’s part of the process on bg video on utube.

Spraying finish is definitely the way forward. Don’t give up,we’re all learning from your experience ,no matter how painful it is!!!
I think we’ve just got to refine the nozzle/gun.
Can you post up a picture of the gun you’ve got?
The only difficult thing I’ve found with the m200 is how tight to have the rotor and stator. But they’ve got a really easy way of setting it up now using the pressure gauge ,a bent over pipe and some water!
Make sure Dave or whoever does your training ,shows you how.

I’ve been told the worst thing about spraying thistle is the overspray. I haven’t used mine yet,but I’m going to practice at home .
I think some experimentation with the nozzle is in order.

I've been looking at the airless plaster and was wondering, do you have to prepare moisture resistant board like you would with multi finish?
Do those Graco mark v machines break down into smaller pieces, to get them upstairs and the like?

I've never used a sponge float before.
Do you use a basecoat with it?
I did wonder about the 1mm top coat .
When I floated the monorex,I was told be careful to rub it the same amount all over because that can cause a colour difference
