SBR not killing suction

Hi all, just having an issue with the last couple of ceilings that I’ve done and I could do with some input and advise please,

Previously plastered and painted ceilings in fair condition, not big 1&1/2 bags
I Gave them a good coat of neat SBR using a roller and let it pull in, after 20-30mins ceiling looked ready to go, nice shine on it from the SBR so good to go I thought
But first coat pulled in really quick , speed skimmed it and 2nd coat was the same ,
like I’d not even prepped them, ended up laying them down and had to 3rd coat the last ceiling, which I know is naughty as it’s a lot of product.
For you guys out there that use SBR as a pre skim prep,What am I doing wrong?
Thanks Kev

What brand of SBR?

f**k off kev you’ve been watching too many YouTube videos
It’s you’re background suction control it ?

My mate used to use the term " Fopar" a lot, to comment on a fat bird in really tight leggings showing off her, plainly visable, upper vulva, as in a "fat upper pussy region" . He insisted that it was common "street vocabulary"
In all honesty there !
Is that where you got your name from mate ? :)

Yeah of course it could but if you bought quality sbr and it didn’t do its job what do you next say I can’t do the job?
It’s not really an answer don’t take it the wrong way it’s suction control it’s basic stuff

You use what you need to use to do the job. You either factor that in to the cost of the job, or you suck it up, no pun intended.

I’d stabilse first and then two coats of pva! Sbr isn’t great for plastering over

Yeah vaguely remember that. Was that the one where no one was allowed to have a different opinion to the guy who owned the forum?
Yeah he was a proper racist too, he used to make dvds and someone posted a video it was like he wanted to start a fight with the cameraman the way he’s looking he was a proper cock fingers crossed he’s dead somewhere best place for him the c**t
Apart from that great forum that’s where I started chatting to church he was a great bloke really good spread
