Work based assessment?

Hello, I’ve been working full time as a plasterer for the past 6 months, did a quick course beforehand after doing my own house. The course I did wasn’t an NVQ, I’d like to get an NVQ if possible. One of the lads I work with has said you can get assessed whilst in work. Is this the case?

Put some pictures of your work up, the residents here can asses you. It couldn’t be any easier.

Get at least 2 years site experience first.
Take photo's of work and keep record of dates and address of jobs completed
Then contact local college or on-site assessment agency.
Always remember a bit of paper or buying a super flex plastering trowel does not make you a plasterer.
