Knauf is reprising its popular Golden Ticket competition from last year with another stunning prize promotion worth over £20,000. Top of the prize list is a VW Caddy Van, which retails at over £14,000. Runner Up prizes include Fein Drywall Guns – worth £400 each – Stanley trowels and, last but not least, dozens of Knauf measuring tapes.

Winning one of these great items could not be easier: as special prize-winning vouchers – the ‘Golden Tickets’ – have been hidden in bags of:

Universal Plaster
Plasterboard Adhesive
Joint Cement Easy Sand
Joint Filler
Gypsum Parge Coat
MPFinish

Buy one, open it, find a ticket – and maybe, just maybe, you’ll bag yourself a van!

Simply look out in store for Win a Van branded Knauf bags next time you are out buying plastering and jointing products. The promotion runs until all the prizes are gone or all the bags run out – predicted to be in the late autumn, so there’s plenty of time to get in there!

Guys

if you usual stockist is not stocking or supplying Knauf bagged products - ask them to investigate getting some in!!!

If they say no, contact Knauf on 01795424499 and ask for assistance in finding a stockist local to you .......

If you have never used the products before, read the instructions on the bag (strange concept for some, I know), or contact Knauf or your supplier for further assistance......

There are experienced guys on here using Knauf products as well.....

Happy for honest or sensible feedback on MP Finish

But don't just say " it is harder to use that what I currently use " or " it is not like what I already use, so I don't like it "

Its timings are different - that is all....

Yes it is slightly more £ per bag (I don't know the prices.... ask at the suppliers... ask for a discount - don;t ask, don't get....?), but you will get more m2 per bag! (both hand and machine applied...)

Good Luck - and please let us all know if you win anything!!

Stockists will stock what they know will sell..... ask where you normally go to get some in (probably be easier for them if they are a Knauf Drywall board stockist)

any problems call our office (in office hours) and ask where you can find stockists near you.....

Lets hope the winning ticket isn't in any of the jointing products bags, because nobody buys it because it is sh1t.

You are entitled to your opinion - what Jointing product do you prefer Tony? and why?

Thanks Tony

Have a look on the taping forum mate on the thread about what materials the boys use. Not one person uses Knauf. They even put other brands in Knauf bags on sites where Knauf have bribed the main contractors into using them. I know Knauf are addressing this as Michael Anderson has been in touch with me about testing new jointing materials as you develop them.
I use BG joint filler and G-tec Smartmix joint cement.

haha if its in a bag of addy you wouldnt even know it was there just pour mix and stick youd only see it if it was poking out the mix a bit.
could end up with a 14,000 van stuck behind someones wall haha

So if 5 spreads each find a ticket will they have to turn up one morning at the knauf golden gates to be greeted by a loony looking tech guy with a cane?!
There will be the fat spoilt one who never stops eating,
The good looking cool one who has all the latest gear,
The over opinionated one who knows it all,
The just come off a weekend course one,
The just gets on with it makes it look easy one(Charlie)!

Yeah the only problem posting this on a plastering forum is that no1 anywhere stocks knauf finish. So your quids in!!

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha.......... Nice one James LOL

I think that every company has one of each of those characters.............. I am the fat spoilt one (before anyone else points that out.... lol)

as I understand it...... on every Golden Ticket, there is a unique code and a telephone number.... call the number, reference the code, see what you have won.....

I would think that the van winner will have to collect, have a lot of PR and meet Mr Wonka...... LOL

Meet Mr Wonka................:RpS_thumbsup:..............Im in, i best get on the phone to moaty sharpish then Rich..................:RpS_wink:

@Runswithscissors Are you actually on the tools and use these products every day or are you just trying to push it out there cos you work for Knauff ????

My experience with MP is that it is more suited to the lads that machine apply, MP finish gets no where near Board or Multi.

If you have to fill out round door liners or beads then its on the same thickness so goes no further IMO,also the meterage isn't always there on domestic work so the fact that its supposed to go further makes no difference, it also sags and bulges if it has to go on any thicker than recommended.

The finished product is no where near as robust as other products, the walls get scratched and dented far easier, And it doesn't finish as well as other products either.

I think you are trying to push this product out there as you think there is a market for it, maybe because the lads are moaning about BG s products and you think that now's a good time to try and push MP, as s**t as multi can sometimes get its still a more user friendly product than MP.

Your after service is also shocking, your Warwickshire rep knows nothing about the product, doesn't answer his phone and is only interested in cutting around in his company can largeing it at various demos.

Theres a reason no merchants stock MP Finish and that is cos its crap.

Thanks for that Airbourne..... Happy with an honest comment!

I am not a time served spread, and always state that these products are not in my area of expertise....

I do work for Knauf and specialise in Aquapanel - I am a techie and work with everyone from Architects, developers, MC's to the most importants people - the fixers and spreads (they are the ones who make the walls look how they should!)

There is a market for these products (as there is for all of the products in the market, otherwise they would not be in the market), maybe not in your area, but I am glad you have tried them and can honestly comment on them all.

Merchants do stock and supply what the customers ask for.... it is basic economics.... but not everyone has tried anything different, so give it a try.

If you agree with Airborne after trying it, let us know!

Thanks for your reply mate, my rant wasn't aimed at you personally, just a bit of feed back on my s**t experience with it. i spoke to Clive in the week who was sound my gripes are with another rep, and the merchants that sold us the gear.
I think there probably is a market for it with the likes of Steve currier that use machines speedskims etc and get plenty on, just my experience with it on domestics was not a good one.

I'm using it on a job starting Tuesday cos the genius who specified it says it won't need decorating or need any filling.
God he's gonna get a shock on Wednesday

I'm not that short..... just too short for my weight.... LOL

actually, I am just cuddly... LOL (Back to Arti's G** section.... :RpS_scared: - Oh, different thread)

I think what your refering too is called "middle aged spread"...............sounds like a line from a lonely hearts ad..............:RpS_laugh:
