I have a terribly cold cellar underneath my living room that quickly kills the heat with the cold. I have been advised to put 50mm thick insulation boards underneath the floorboards between the joists (by a handyman). Upon inspection my damp course is sitting on the bricks supporting my joists and the bottom of my air bricks is just mm below my joist & the cellar floor to joist is approx 3.5 off the floor. Will I cause damp by completing this DIY work I.e will I stop cold air from being able to rise too much. Any professional advice would be much appreciated, photos attached, Cheers in advance
