I know a few people who have used /owned the Strata machine. I would advise doing some research into them as well. I don't believe anyone on the forum has owned one though?

If you need any help, please don't hesitate to give me a call. We have a range of machines from various manufacturers so can offer you an extensive choice

Ryan

I've used the strata machine, on demo can't recall what model it was but it was fit for purpose, sprayed 60 odd bags of enewall through it, with no issues. Had a demo on another occasion a few years ago with jfe on here aswell and it looked a good set up.
But I spoke to a few other renderers that bought one and they had gremlins with it, so I guess opinions are like Arse holes, everyone's got one.

The Original PFT D6-3 twister rotor and stator is more like £ 75 .00 And it is the best on the market by about 30% . To be clear on this This is not an opinion of any dealer or end user this is a fact based on 1000's of hours of testing.

PFT are the main supplier of plastering machines to the world and have a R & D development department. They are constantly reviewing their own products and machines aswell as competitors to ensure their brand is always ahead of the competition.

KTO is a company that used to produce and supply M tek with rotors and stators for their new machines. These are good quality rotors and stators and were proved to be the closest in quality to PFT even though PFT performed 30 % more efficiently.

To give you a scale of how committed PFT are to having the best Brand they Bought KTO. Unfortunately because M tek are direct competition PFT do not deal with M tek who have found another supplier. And of course PFT have tested their new suppliers rotors and stators.

We all have our opinions on the best machines and thats how it should be, mine is PFT is the best and if it wasn't the company would buy the best and rebrand it as their own.

If you're choosing a machine for yourself, look at how often it will be moved around, how many people will be available to move it and how can it return an investment most efficiently. What labour can it replace, youre saving will be on total man hours needed to complete the job not how mts you do a day

Ok I am pretty sure you do know why some of your posts are removed and that is because they are adverts to buy... advice is all well and good but the forum is not a charity.

This has been going on for years... Give PFT HQ a shake and then it will all be a level playing field again....

oohh you bitch!! I be up for a deal Danny but it has to be more flexible. I'm sure you can work something out that suits you

Good post Ian, but to be honest I am struggling to see any facts without the proof. This would be interesting to see as we have seen very different results and continue to do so within the market place.
This is also a very easy statistic for PFT or yourself to suggest.

Another PFT Dealer also mentioned the D,6-3 retailed at £86.00 to the UK Market opposed to your £75.00.

There are also major differences between the M-Tec range of R/S and the PFT ones. For example the most common in the PFT line is the D6-3 used on 3 Phase machines whereas M-tec's is the Unistar which has a completely different output.

There is no denying PFT produce a fantastic range of machines and they are part of a multi million € company (Knauf). They have a lot going for them and will continue to be a very strong market player for the foreseeable future. But, there are competitors or manufacturers out there who in some areas can out perform them or can match them. The market is a very large one and not one brand dominate. Yes, PFT have been going the longest and the G4 is the most well known machine but things do change.

With regards to the KTO situation; KTO in fact made a very small range of Rotors and stators for M-tec. Their main range come from another, very well established and long serving manufacturer in Germany.

To my knowledge PFT have never been a manufacturer of Rotors and Stators and they used KTO for the supply of the well known Original D6-3. KTO then fell into serious financial difficulty and at this point PFT realised with the loss of them, it could affect their business therefore made the decision to purchase KTO. Therefore it wasn't a decision or a commitment to purchase the best brand but a requirement. Please correct me if I am wrong here, but this is information we have received. I believe when KTO spoke to us at the UK Concrete show this was also mentioned

To my knowledge KTO have always produced the D,6-3 for PFT, if KTO also produced for M-tec (as you suggest) then how do PFT have a R/S which outperforms the rest by 30% if they are made in the same place?

If this isn't the case, then why did PFT purchase the best brand of R/S as you suggest if theirs already outperforms it by 30% - it contradicts the whole statement you make?

Also to follow, we will never agree on the best brand of machine. This is the same argument between which brand of phone and car are the best.

For us, the best Electric machine manufacturer is M-tec. They wouldn't sell to PFT to re-brand so that wouldn't happen.

The G4 was the bench mark of many machines, the Uniform Quattro and even our EZE K4 have followed the concept and design. When people look into the machines in more detail and they see where the components of the machines come from, which in our case is the same place then they can make there own conclusions, whether to buy one version or buy another for the brand name - the Aldi/Lidl vs other food outlets scenario ...

I will see if i can find the data sheet. 100 % guarantee its true backed up with data

Not sure what and when u had ur prices for the twister. The pound is strong, we buy in euros and that saving is passed to customer. Currently with us they are 33 for a twister and 43 for a d6_3.

Pft rotors and stators are not made by kto. kto are still branded kto. As for the rest..... Forgerraboudit if anyone is interested they can find out themselves

A data-sheet made by an independent source on a variety of R/S or just by the competing brand?

The price for the twister is what was stated in another post and what I know customers are charged. Hence choosing our D,6-3P1 and continuing to do so at £64.30 (y)

Tidy, tbh ive never used anything but pft. Tried others once yonks ago and they used to jam up. So never bothered again. Had a customer this week said he had over 30 pallets from his first rotor and stator. It was brand new on his machine. D6-3 maintenance free. Now thats good mileage you gorra agree.

Ill have a look for that sheet Its not a data sheet that they have gone out of their way to discredit other manufacturers it more research so they know that their rotors and stators are the best rather than just saying it, they have proved it.

30 pallets is a lot, but as you know it all depends on material viscosity and how many pipes they had on. Also on what material. Lots of varying factors with R/S

But 30 is a great number to be honest. A lot more than mentioned by another dealer claiming they go up-to 20 pallets.

For his 1st R/S he sounds to be a very knowledgable guy who is getting the best from his machine and parts so good on him.

Cut the comedy lads you're both terrific salesmen have you got any experience of real life jobs when the pressure on. I work with a lad and if we can or lucky have a lab what would you say the best pump is for us honest opinion

The machine to suit you would all depend on what type of application your looking to do and the job size.

Machines primarily are best with a 3 man gang. Smaller machines such as the EZE 24, M-tec M100 or the Ritmo can be operated successfully with 2 man gangs.

With regards to pressure on real life jobs, I'm not on the tools so couldn't comment on that. But as for being under pressure, Im helping run the family company and we are growing rapidly so I know what pressure is like. (y)

Not having a contracting side to our company means we have a dedicated team that are full time in machines and can support you 24:7. We have a UK Sales Rep in the road and 3 technicians in the warehouse who can help you get back on the road if a problem occurs. This is our primary livelihood and job, not a side line business

If you would like to talk in more detail about the machines and what would suit you best, I will happily discuss everything with you over the phone tomorrow morning and see what I can advise to you

@spreadasaid all of the PFT dealers are time served spreads and myself and Ian are both still on the tools so we fully understand when the pressure is on ... There's lots of vary factors when choosing a machine there are plenty of videos on YouTube showing machines being used in all applications, do your research carefully and speak to the right people

I like a ritmo. Just get the apprentice to drop a bag in and it comes out the other end mixed and sprays straight on the wall.

Im a plasterer for 25 years, ive had all the machines and speak from experience.

Sometimes on bigger jobs i use my G4. Its a switchable so runs in 3 phase or single phase. Its great but not easy to move.

I have a brinkman diesel i use for screed which is good in one respect as it does its job but its a nuisance to clean on smaller jobs and a pain to take back to the yard after a late finish. Probably gonna sell it

And i got swing pumps, you just tip the gear in. I use it for spraying topcoat sometimes. Apart from that it doesn't move

Also got a small continuas mixer. Handy for small jobs and to give to the boys if im not there. saves them wasting time mixing

I love G4's Ian they are the daddy in my book

I haven't got a team of technitions or salesmen or anything. Its me and my misses. The business is young but i offer a superb product line and excellent service.

When it comes to plastering i loves every bit of it. Machines, tools and the systems

I will do what i can to look after you.

My depot is next to where the swans train. all the cars go by in the morning. One player has a kahn defender with a matt black wrap. Its ssstunning.

Then someone else has a merc g wagon with the same wrap. That is my favourite

Not sure on the new style they are brining out though. You should come down to see us mate, next door is a Land Rover specialist with about 1000 old school Discoveries, Range's and Defenders parker in the forecourts

If i won the lottery i would have a full time driver.
Probably go for a full luxury vw t5 shuttle. Reclining seats the lot.

Hate driving but like being driven about

Not keen on the Range Rover sport they are built on a disco chassis and best of with a vogue. Love those but no good for my job hence i have an old defender 110 its basic bit like me but i love it more so in winter pulling others out of ditches etc

me an cars are done. still like them but wont waste money on a racing car anymore. i fancy a new truck for work. Vw crafter dropside. automatic with a tail lift and 1.5 ton hiab. very very handy

reccomend me a good quad danny. i need it to tow stuff round the yard and now thinking of towing a small trailer with my kayak across a beach a few miles to get to the SPOT. Road legal now a requirement. so far thinking of honda 4x4 big red. dont want a flashy thing just a reliable horse
