Stagg & Pegg first came into my life in 1983 when I was a four year old. The Old-Man's copy (white and pink cover, grumpy spread w/ big moustache) was always laying around the house or workshop.
As a youngster I was fascinated by the line drawings. As a 40 y/o I now appreciate what a couple of crack-pots they really are. Much of their wrighting is, at best, optimistic (Lone worker should be able to fix 4.5m lengths of cornice). Much more shows how they let themselves go to pure fantasy (their section on fisting, for example).
Where are they now? Did they drink heavily? Did they (do they) live together? Is their home a tourist attraction/shrine?
