I forgotten loads of them but never forgot the first...Ford Capri 1.6 LS, colour fire-engine red with blue checked (almost Burberry but not that Chav) interior seats - what a car. A bit crushed in the back, that's where tall boy sat (he was a short arse). Up front driving, you were spoilt for room.

Venetian Red MK1 Ford Escort 1300GT. Reg no ECV 582K. It had bucket seats and a full roll cage, and all terrain tyres. Used to race around the local forestry commission lanes, and clay pits, until I wrapped it around a security Land Rover.

Yep, remember those well...what a beauty too. The Capri had bucket seats to - just standard but I think they were Recaro. Funny you remember the number plate too lol

Mustard coloured Austin Mini.
Followed by an XR3i, absolute dog of a car, but boy did I love it. Still have rose tinted specs for it....

Mine had those seats too. Had big plans for it, Obviously. Then the floor fell out.....
The XR3i wasn't any better...

G reg Astra 1.3 ohc. Went well for a 1300. Got 110mph out of it with 5 of us piled in on the motorway. It got nicked and was written off in an RTA. Went and splashed out on a Nova GSI then in flame red. Loved that little car.

Wee Novas were great, always some lunatic with an implanted 2.0 8v or 16v flying about
Red top 2.0 16v in a little nova were rapid! There was no weight to them at all. No reinforcements in the doors like nowadays it was like it was made of strong tin foil :loco:

Now I'm properly tripping down memory lane, before I left school I bought a Yamaha FS1E (a fizzy)..remember them anyone? I fixed a Micron exhaust onto it and it did 53mph, my mate stuck a bit of copper pipe up the exhaust and woke the next town up

Mk2 Cortina 1300 2door, took out the 1.3 and rammed in a 1.6 crossflow with twin webbers and a modified manifold, rostyle wheels, oversize tyres on the back to give a little lift.......went everywhere in that.....it was quick and dangerous, handled like a pig...lol..... later had of all things a marina pick-up! A fully fledged piece of sh:t!.....then when I had a bob or two, I had an Alpha Romeo Gulietta in dark metallic green with brown draylon interior.....I loved that car.....tinted windows as standard 1.8 boxer engine.....mmmm,❤️❤️

1994 Corsa 1.2 with rims and exhaust for the laydees

And a 1989 Daihatsu that I bought off my mates dad for £30 when I was 16 (I never drove this illegally)

I've been looking at buying a nova latley you would not believe how much they have gone up in value

Used to "borrow" my dads triumph herald ........I could open it and start it with a screwdriver. I'm sure he thought it was the most uneconomical car in the world!

You could have been on Mastermind, and now Mr Roryston you chosen subject...number plates

I had a white Vauxhall Corsa - my first boxer dog Bruce shredded the plastic dashboard with his claws...he was trying to get to a pigs-ear I had in the glove box

Ok that's a little weird.

My bull mastiff called Bruce is in the kitchen eating a pigs ear as we speak.

I was a 'borrower' also, took my dads car out on a date (lots of leg room if you know what I mean), on the way back she was getting rid of the steamed up windscreen with her hand - the only problem she had a ring on and it scratched the windscreen to pieces! Dad wasn't pleased

My first motor was an old ' Fiat Tipo'. Right old rust bucket that had no Second gear and a hole in it's floor around the clutch. ( I kid you not ). It was a right bag of bolts. But hey looking back, I loved that motor. :) ....

I had a jack Russel and a Subaru pickup....one lunchtime I popped into sister in laws pub......on an errand ..(ahem)...the dog decided that there must be a rat in the glove box.....so he destroyed, and I mean destroyed the entire dashboard!
I came back to carnage and the dog wagging his tail looking at me as if to say "what"???

I use to be able to remember my number plates then in 2010 I pretty much forgot how to walk sooo I decided to buy private plates and that solved that problem :D
