PVA from Wickes or bnq doesn't separate , used it for donkey years
Possibly frost affected
Anyway forget that for a moment
It's double the price so if you mix your posh 50:50 is it still thicker than the cheap one or about the same
You posted 9:1 , we all use different ratios for different applications

It separates for me , like the travis own brand!

if it gloss or silk paint ,then yea definitely 9/1 if not neat , if u used the cheap one neat it would still be wet a week later

definitely not frost affected, all stored in dry conditions

Do you pva , let it dry then hit the wall/ceiling? Or do you pva and hit it when it’s tacky?

Ok , I'll try another time

Overskim first coat on unpainted mf

Wickes I go 3:1 followed by 2: 1 top coat , hit tacky ,

I've got " bond it " , much thicker, my ratio is more like 4.5:1 followed by 3:1

So effectively indeed 2/3 compared to Wickes

Wickes is £9/5 litre so " bond it " is the same value at £13.50

this is the best, you can balance a nice Merlot on it :)

Way too pricey for me as PVA is second nature
I'm paying £8 for my PVA , it's a bargain
I get 10 ltr £42 for grit, go round the room once , to do a room properly u need to pva a Room 3 times imo , that’s at least two tubs , plus the labour to do it , I think the costs are comparable

Do U think Dulux paint is overpriced compared to wickes /BnQ own brand ?
Cos by your analogy that’s what ur saying

My point was in opening post
Weight of PVA/litre is the idea
Then a true comparison can be made

I know for a fact sbr are different qualities, like I said ronafix is the dogs, where as ever build dosent compare,I’m likening that to pva too, that and experience with using pva
