This internal wall has a problem. The plaster appears to be sound but as you can see, salt and all sorts of shite has trashed the paintwork. There is a crack in the external wall but it doesn't appear to be consistent with the damp/mouldy patch.

Thoughts?

Water getting under foundations from around that drain. That has caused the rising damp inside and the crack outside as its building has moved on the wet ground.. That's my guess
