What’s the Longest Burning Firewood for Winter?

Hi everyone,

As winter approaches, I’m looking to stock up on firewood that burns the longest and provides steady heat through those cold nights. I want to maximize burn time without having to constantly add more wood to the fire.

I’ve heard that certain hardwoods like oak or hickory are better for this, but I’m not sure which is truly the best for long-lasting coals and heat retention.

Could you share your experiences or recommendations on the best types of firewood for a long, slow burn? Also, does proper seasoning or storage significantly affect how long the wood burns?

Any tips on where to source quality wood that burns efficiently would be much appreciated too!

I was replying to Chrispy you thick t**t, are you suggesting that he's a bot? He's absolutely not as I've met him. It was definitely him, as there was still foam in his hair.
