wall chases

Been picking up a few jobs recently for a local electrician, filling in the chases after rewires, not bad money and usually just a few hours work, helps fill in the days when you got nowt on, just wondering what mix you guys use if and when you do them, usually fill em in with a 50 mix bond and finish then a quuick skim over the top of them, just wondering if any one else has any other gear they use for filling

think you ve prob got it right mate.as long as it dont shrink.

Why put finish in the bonding? . just PVA chases then fill with bonding ,scrape back ,devil float then skim with multi.

finish in the bonding was just the way i was shown makes it go a bit quicker

How quick does it set mixed with finish?

takes less than 10 mins for it to go

Normally put lime thru bondin to set it quicker

If there's a lot of chases then i go round with one cost plaster Knauf is nice no need to pva. Then let it pull in a bit while you have a cuppa and sarnie (cheese & Ham with pickle in tiger bread) before finishing with easi fill 45 or 20 leaves a nice white finish.
