My plaster mixed sand and multifinish to fill some holes before he went over with coat of plaster. Is this ok?

Also could this method be used to fill chases in electrical work

Hello. He has already done a lot of filling with this method. Will it cause problems e.g. cracking

No lol – my plaster in my friend. He does a good Job but I not sure about some of his methods, he does have little experience. I thought if I purchase the bonding stuff, mix it up and cover the gaps day before he comes it be ready to plaster. I have helped him mix for a while now so I have an idea how to mix it up.

what age is your plasterer? because that how we used thistle browning in the 1960s.

It will be fine but not recommended way of doing it. Im guessing it was only a little bit and he had no backing coat about
