If your labour only you should register for flat rate VAT you charge 20% on your invoice but only pay 12% on your VAT return. No good if you supply and fit tho.
yep its easily done, I think the threshold is 80 grand ish, I spent over 80 grand on render last year alone.
mind, you get nothing for the hasstle, all you are is an unpaid tax collector.
4 on my books, 4 subbies normally
Pain in the fkin arse
You don't benefit its a merry go round of government money. And 20 percent is a joke.
Kiss goodbye to half your private customers when you have to add vat to the total bill
i deregistered, the best days of being vat registered are over,
we have enough private customers to keep us in work through out the year, who do not want 20% added to their invoice.
Yeah I have that also.
Sometimes I just give them the gross cost and don't mention the vat.
A bit like buying something off the self in town.the vat is included in the cost
yep, agreed with the unpaid tax collector bit, after profit taxes, NI, class4 NI, insurances etc, etc, its a wonder we get much left for beer and other stuff !
