Just before you scrape bud to get flat,I try to take as much as poss back with the bar then you just need a light rub over with the scraper.

The flatter the better when wet though , do u use a straight edge straight after putting it on ?

Yes serrated, fill low spots,serrated,flatten lines,wait till scrapaable then I bar etc I as above I try to put pleanty on so if poss I can scrape back the whole panel with the I bar not leaving any skinned over areas then it just needs a light rub with the scraper. I find the scraper takes more off of an area that is skinned up than an area that is I barred creating hollows.

Never done mono my self , s and c and ocr and acrylic etc abit thin coat aswell with maite and what ever i got off @Plasterers1StopShop , god nos the name now lol

Only needed a few bags , was about 4 times cheaper than maite obviously maite seemed abit nicer and sets solid as lol

if you put it on thick enough you can I bar it all the way and its dead flat

if you get it on flat when spraying, you take minimum off with the I bar, reducing the chances of misses and reducing the amount of render used.
