hi
I am getting a extension tyroleaned soon to match existing house and was after a bit of advice please:RpS_crying:
I have trawled the forums and cant seem to find a answer to my query which is-
1. If house and extension is going to be painted is it worth paying for k-rend / cullamix?
2. Would using sand/cement to acheive tyrolean finish be a cheapskate way of doing things
3.is it worth having krend/cullamix done and paint after to acheive a better long term solution
Had a few quotes and had varying answers so was looking to make an informed decision from an un-biased opinion :RpS_cool:
If i can save £300 its all good but if needed it is something i dont mind paying for cant see the point of wasting dosh
Thanks in advance and happy new year...

If you are going to paint it all afterwards then a sand and cement home made tyrolean will be ok. Your problem then will not be of colour but texture.

Even with Cullamix you will get a different texture. Wetter or stiffer mix than the original or a newer or older tyrolean machine than the original will give different results.

it is for the operative to experiment a bit to get a near as possible but same is unlikely. You could always consider spraying into the existing and blending in.
