Trowel shape

Got a 14x4 Marshalltown stainless steel and I’ve noticed the blades on both sides have started to wave I use it for everything skimming bonding dabbing rendering any idea as to why it’s happening.

Same reason as my legs that are beginning to wobble a bit in the mornings, its old, tired, has had too much graft and needs a bloody good old holiday mate. (y)

it could be s**t that gets stuck in the middle of the trowel I dont know what’s it’s called the long thin bits with rivets in it
You can tap them back in shape if you knock in between the joint where it meets the top of the trowel face

Shank ?
 
Tang, The Shank is the piece between the handle and the Tang.


Sometimes

I've always had the long run (usually with the rivets) as a shank, then the neck that goes up into the handle as tang, same as on a knife.


But generally if you're looking at trowels, they're sold in long shank, short shank and sometimes mid shank.

Whichever way you word it, it'd be known.
