Prepared is always smaller than stated if you want the size you want you have to get sawn

You can still get rough sawn treated 3x2, CLS is kiln dried as well as far as I'm aware

If you go to a proper timber merchant rather than a builder's merchant they will keep you right

not necessarily but it certainly won't hurt

PSE someplaces PAR others.......should be exact size. Not usually treated.

I don't think it will make a huge difference in the grand scheme of it

Usual stuff is eased edge only no-one will use par as more expensive compared to treated or cls
