Thin coat job

I went to look at a thin coat job today and the customer had already started to put the insulation on the outside of the building.

This has split and moved in the weather. He wants to keep it on but I’m thinking it has to come off? Any thoughts?

I'm not a rendering expert.

but it looks like they have used cavity insulation? would the mesh and base coat not peel off with the coating ?

Don’t touch it, walk away.
They’re phenolic boards that will fail they also look like they’ve been left exposed to wet weather. When they do fail and the render fails with it who’s gonna get the blame cus I guarantee you the customer won’t blame his boards or boarding
