Hi Chaps I have got to dot & dab 15 thermal plasterboards in an integral garage, the boards are 75mm. What is the best secondary fixings to use.

Whats on the background you are fixin it to. I was fixing them insulation boards to a smooth plastered wall. I used gyproc adhesive and used a tiling trowel. then used these fixings. The wall was already flat and level so it was easy

Its a new build house with integral garage , got to dot dab & skim the two wall that go into kitchen and hall way, the architect wants a secondary fixing on the thermal boards.

I'm using Hilti ones at the min. Going through 80mm insulated board. 1 fixing either side of each board in the middle.

I'm dabbing some 80mn Thermaline Super board at the moment. We are using 140mm Fischer fixings, 4 per board

Thinking completely outside the box, what about using the nailable plugs as spec'ed by the board manufacturers?

i seen guys a few years ago dabbing metal studs to the wall then screwing the boards on. just used drywall adhesive and that was the spec for the job.
