Tight stairway to sort , own property so get to experiment
9" solid wall , painted brick exterior
A knackered lime coat interior
Only got 20+mm depth to play with when lime is removed
Thinking of backing 9.5 board with 6mm XPS up to impact areas and EPS above
Foam stuck
Considering coating board back with SBR then sticking the foam with. SBR/ PVA mix
Any comments

Yes stop fookin around
Just Hardwall
& skim & plenty of tea & biscuits . can not beat a home project

Your welcome
I wouldn't choose hardwall on a solid wall , would go for corked lime but missus only away for a few days and thought 6mm of foam would be warmer , XPS looses it's thermal advantage over EPS with time but want the density up to shoulder height

Did you mean
Cheers , but think ,6mm foam thermally better , also restricted with paint choice ?
That’s it mate , looked a bit myself, only a few people tried it and one said the rooms were noticeably warmer , if I’m correct upto 200% warmer , they do have a grit primer you’d have to discuss that with them as a spec , I never did the job I quoted for it but was really looking forward to see and feel myself what the difference would be like ,product is very cost effective

If it has to be thermal, could you not use 15mm marmox type board? Grit and skim.

Stick with msp to keep thin.

Done this before, where tolerances are tight but customer HAS to have a thermal job.

Cheers @Vincey will check thermal info tomorrow
Cheers @bobski , thought they were XPS with cement face , didn't look into other products tbh as expect small size boards and specialist prices but will check thanks

Bof now stop all this nonsense about thermal boards when you haven't got room to use anything worthwhile. Listen to Pete and Clemo, or just render and skim it like any normal person would.
You're welcome.
