Taking Mads Fishing

My 2 kids absolutely love watching fishing on youtube.

So I am taking Mads to the local canal and although the chances of catching are slim we are going to try and get a pike or some perch....

I had a load of fishing gear but I was kitted out for big barbel not tiddler bashing... so spending a small fortune on bits I think we are ready...

I am a little excited to hopefully see mads face if we do catch :D
 
I remember going to the fair and hooking a duck to catch a fish that would last for about a week . Then it would be flushed down the bog. Happy days .

Make sure you get rod licence or it could end up an expensive day lol LP

We don't have it here but I have anglers from Manchester and Liverpool areas say that the bailiffs are s**t hot on it there

I've had my license checked twice in forty six years mate and don't remember my old man ever having his checked before I was old enough to require one. That said some clubs will check them, even though they don't have the power to do anything other than stopping you fishing their water.
 
Well... we did not catch but Mads absolutely loved it...

Her bedtime story tonight she wanted a book on fishing...
next week :D we are off to a heavily stocked commercial lake... to hopefully cement her love for fishing in
