Stabilising solution before tanking slurry application

I have a damp cellar to sort out and was going to coat the walls with stabilising solution before I applied the KA Tanking Slurry, just to consolidate any crumbling mortar. Anybody got any advice regarding this step? Will the stabilising solution stop the tanking slurry working properly?
