Hi all Ive just got the internals of a large school down in Brighton, Portslade and am looking for guys to join one of our spray crews to help move the project along at a good pace. Spreads + labourers.

It would be beneficial if you have used MP Finish before as well as speedskims and spats

Start date is in about 2 weeks

Thanks

No he emails them to tell them hes going to text them and let him know he's going to ring

Thanks for the info Bill email me a number and ill get in contact. The job has become slightly delayed so not started the main portion yet but we will need extra hands as they seem to have issues with mp finish and BG spray is a bugger to get hold of

Eh....?

what is the MP Finish problem Steve....?

get in touch if needed...... or contact Clive or your local Knauf guy.....

The site agent seems to think its to thin. I told him all our work is to spec then all of a sudden the job has become BG only to make sure they get a manufactures warranty ( everything else is BG boards MF etc). Im sure he thinks we will use Multi (shite) by hand and we will do it the "old way" thicker.

If its not that reasone and a warranty issue then i'm not sure why they couldn't have said this when we started 2 weeks ago and we have had pallets of MP on site for a month. We did the benchmark room that we sprayed in MP as well.

It's a right ball ache. BG never have stock ready as its classed as a specialist order. We have had to wait 2 weeks before :(

why they could not just make their normal multipurpose finish sprayable as well is beyond me!

Must be only forward thinking companies that do that :)

bg have told the builder or the architect that mp finish is not a finish they will accept on bg plasterboards.
you must stick to the architects spec and not make up your sepc or you will end up in big trouble.
there are clerk of the works would make you remove the plaster and the boards if you go off spec. it must be their choice not yours.
i would do as the spec tells you ,multi applied by hand.

Wow lucky the spec says BG multi finish or similar from other manufacturers other wise the clerk's would be after me :p
