Spraying base coats

Normally hand ball base coats on as to keep the mess down but have some big areas that need at least 2 base coats.
Anyone recommend a base coat for spraying on??

I've used a pft g4 for spraying rendaid many many times. I find laying on by hand to be slower obviously, but far neater.

The rendaid seems to eat through the rotor and stator quicker than top coat too. Plus the machine will be a bitch to clean out if used for a few hours. Not to mention the over spray!

Swings and roundabouts but with the right protection it can save you days in knocking up and labour. Just mask up those beads to make it easier at the end.

My opinion.
