what determines the size of the cap you use. just wondered why they do 8mm to 18mm i just use 12mm and 14mm. whats best for plaster, mono etc

12 is best for plaster and mono also 10 is good especially for getting reveals. 8 mm would be used for texturing with mono or spraying mineral topcoats such as NOBLO that are finished by a trowel. The 8mm could also be used for spraying a pre rend material or adhesive coats on insulation systems.
14 mm is ok for mono, base coats, hardwall and mp75. Down to choice allot of it is

Ian has answered it all really but it also depends on the machine, with the ritmo a 14 is to big and the comp aint got enough cuts to spray a pattern.

i pull the air well back until it makes a low farty sound.....seems to slow everything down and cut down on the stress! if that's possible
