Hello again

Whats the best sheet timber for a spot board? On the diy course they used a big sheet of ply but I don't know what it was coated with.

same here just use big yellow bucket all the time, wish i had invented them and such a simple idea

no mate ive got a mate who works a chemical place so he gets me them or i should say he did i havent had any for ages, they arnt has big but they do a bag and a quarter. Think im gonna buy one though cos sometime i could do with a bigger one just begrudge paying for one lol

Same as.............I've never had to buy one yet, still got about half a dozen in me shed :RpS_thumbup:

ye think ive got about half a dozen myself, ive got some from a mate that works at Haribo but they are a bit smaller i think

Shuttering ply is best for a spot board, seldom use mine to be honest, its just something else to clean. Use various buckets. 25l rigid buckets and a big yellow gorilla tub, depending on what im doing.

Gonna start using my ligga more, scooping out of buckets is fu.cking my wrists up....shooting pains....tendonitis i think.

ive had my carpol tunnel done in my right hand, i had it in my left too but after having the right hand sorted the left hand seem to get better by its self, the specialist said id be surprised how many people that happens to lol

i use 15mm mdf on mine, its slightly green as i think its treated with a water proofer! it is just something else to wash but does save stress on your back and wrist!!!

Can't see why anyone would not want to use a spot board. Takes 30 secs to setup, 10 secs to pour out a mix and is so much nice then using a bucket trowel.

Unless its a tiny job

i almost dug my spot board out of the garage yesterday i think ill get it out this weekend though, mines marine ply by the way, and my buckets couple of gorrilla tubs one holds 2 bags the other 3 :RpS_thumbup:

My spotboard was stolen in broad daylight about 6 months ago. The police are following up forensic evidence and they believe it is being stored in a lock up in Kent. They think the gang that stole it are waiting for a chance to flog it to a master plasterer or a collector after all the fuss dies down
