i have a large ceiling to sim out i whant to split it in two , what can use to get a nice straight line across the ceiling so i can stop there

Run a couple of lines of scrim across, lap them down the wall so you can grab them. Skim over them and pull em off before the final trowel. Then trowel hard along the joint, half the trowel on the skim and other touching the board. This will chamfer the finish a little ready to join.

Hope you can understand my ramblings. :RpS_thumbup:

I usually run plasterers mesh tape across with a bit of overhang either end, then peel it off after your last trowel.

put a bit of lime in your gauge do it all in one, no dry joints.

LOL that isn't always possible and it isn't a dry joint if you do the second set on the same day....no need to pva even, it just blends.

I really can't understand why so many people are against joining finish.....maybe they are just sh1t at it?

some people just cant patch, never done that scrim thing danny, i just normally thin it to nowt then patch it in

get some cream of tartar in the finish to slow the set down and get in a oner

ye i did soz :RpS_wink:

oh and write peado on the front of his house:RpS_lol:
