does anyone know the most suitable slip joint to use for timber frame aquapanel system with thin coat? the wemico site is showing 2 different profiles. thanks

Wemico render only compression joint for thin coat render. Ideally suited to timber framed buildings. The aluminium base section is supplied pre-coated white.

I would choose the slightly deeper bead.
you have the scrim the joints on the aqua board, then base coat and full mesh, then a base coat to a fine float finish, 2 coats of primer, finish with 1.5 acrylic. i would guess that after all these applications you would be around 10mm in total.

The top one on the Wemico site is the most popular.... top part is PVC, bottom is powder coated aluminium

As Malc says above, what depth of render are you applying? Top one is limited in render depth, bottom one is metal and can be different settings (from memory)

Give Wemico a call, they are very friendly and helpful
