Hi just wondering how every1 goes about skimming on walls with gloss paint on. I know there's gypbondit s**t but it's so expensive. I've seen people say they use Pva and sharp sand???
Any suggestions or tips would be great lads

Blue grit is half the price of bondit and much better value than WBA, especially when you water it down a bit.

never tried blue grit Danny, does it take ages to dry before skimming? How much is it?

Leave overnight normally, we get it for 17 quid plus VAT for a 10l tub. Bang a pva/water mix in it, sbr or all three and make 15l.

Will do 100m2 on gloss.

now that's what you call value for money,I shall be giving that a try for sure, leaving it over night is a bit of a drawback tho:RpS_thumbup:
