Hi guys we need another machine for spraying finish so was wondering if anyone knows of anywhere that hires machines capable of doing this? Another ritmo would be best however any make or model would do i justy need to be able to hire something for the time being. It doesnt even have to be able to mix just spray like the refina one.

Any suggestions

as soon as i typed that i relised refina may hire which they do. Anyone sprayed with a mtec100?

Hand is always a option depends on the client however it is not the method we promote and it is faster for us.

We hired m100 years ago from Mandy gill, we didn't get on with it. It had problems, just spraying sloppy mess everywhere and we drove it back two hours and got money bk. plus it's a big bit of kit, they may be better now though, plus your more experienced spraying finish. Markham hire them. The ritmo is much smaller and easer to handle, get one on tick and insure it then put your lads on price to make the gravy

Nah I would just explain that all our machines are currently being used on other jobs but we could take the job and do it by hand just as quick by getting extra labour in.

You can't blame the guy for trying to drag plastering out of the stone age. Go for it and don't listen to any cavemen lol. The machine will give you an edge over truckloads of other spreads and focus your whole approach. Specialise, diversify.....i got tons of work and its all well paid and interesting like thin coat on ICF, sprayed roughcast, ewi etc and it comes from a forward thinking approach with new materials and techniques as well as good old traditional attention to detail. Nowt wrong with a bit of innovation/balls to push boundaries. Or you can just skim yourself into old age for a quid a metre the way it's always been done....each to their own like

Not including rotor and stators it's going to cost 300-400 a week minimum for the hire of the machine
Currier I'd just do it by hand if you have to ........at the end of the day mate you're going to have the projects manager on you're case saying put it on the Walls or we will **** you off the job and after paying 2 quid a more per bag is it really worth the extra expenditure on something that is just as fast by hand?

Are they still charging that amount? That's madness! When you can buy one from a pft dealer for 150pm or less. Like I say it was around 350 400 pw years ago. We're all different at the end of the day, the traditional techniques are tested and proven, but machines have been around a while now, they can still be classed a niche to potential clients and therefore a sales pitch. I know it can sound gimmicky but if they like it then fkin sell it to them and pay your mortgage and book a holiday. It sounds like currier is just selling machine plastering to his clients and if it is selling then good on him, roll with it.

I can't even get my pump squirting yet!! Hope to get it bk from les next week

If you have the work for it got to be better strap yourself up for a new one or bank loan and SH, its all tax deductable.

Yer to be honest that's what I wanna do, but my dad is at his place in Spain so wanted to get all the options sorted. So I can get things sorted asap.
There is 2-3 week wait on a new ritmo like last time which ended up being a lot longer. We need something asap!

is there no other machine guys you can pull in for this job just to help ? i,m sure there are guys that may have just got one , help you out and learn at the same time .If someone said to me when i first got my g4 come and work we us for a week ,i would have ripped there arm off ,saves on the head scratching and as for me having Les on speed dial !

I belive not spunky and keith i have asked everyone local with the capabilities and they are busy.

Looks like ill have to build a army of machines myself :RpS_drool:

If anyone local to me might be intrested in joining a internal spray crew in the future let me know via pm.

well mate if everyone near you is busy ,best buy a new machine ,think your on a winner ,best of luck

how much quicker is it than by doing it by hand? If there's a bloke spraying and a bloke flattening surely you're both just covering the same area at the same time so the machine would have to cover the time 2 1/2 spreads can lay on by hand to earn extra money and cover the costs of fuel the machine/genny rotor and stators etc
And the plaster costs 20p more perm

Out put has increased by about 1/3. With a bit of fine tuning it would be a team of 2 spreads and a labourer. Just need to get some decent labs that i can trust with a machine clean out etc

embrace the future spunky!!

i think you and curry should do a day together. then ur opinions can be based on hands on experience. that would settle it

Embrace the future correct.if everybody bought machines there wouldnt be enuf work every week for everyone.prices would tumble even further for a while.great for site work.after a while ebay would be busting with second hand machines for sale.only one to profit main contracter.client
