Ive got a 1.8m H section and wanted to know if its possible to turn it into a serrated one people keep telling me they are easier to rule with?i can't find one in australia but can get a regular one
cheers

If you do do it make sure there proper serrations like little triangles rather than notched

cheers guys are they any better to rule when using a machine I've been told by a few guys over the years that they are easier to get the wall flat?i zoomed in on a pic on refina's website and can see the little triangles might be easier to buy one from over there and hope it makes it here in one piece.

Sand cement isn't as sticky to rule and you get it on flatter by hand you may swell use a feather edge

I know a renderer here who has a machine dosnt render anymore said painting is easier and makes more money but he swears by the serrated edge reckons its the best for thin coat renders anyway

**** plastering then if paintings easier and more money

Does anyone know where to get a proper serrated Darby not notched? Sure I used one did I dream it

i found a few on the interweb but they were in USA the kind with the 2 wooden handles sticking up whats the difference between serrated and notched anyways

To me serrated would be small triangles notched is like a triangle but a little square bit on the end

I had a look at the serrated darbys camnz it's a tricky one cause you can't see where the serrations are

bubbles65 id drag her face across my walls anyday lol hey spunky do you think its worth getting a serrated edge or just use the normal H section?
