Tell him paint comes in grey too.

Stormdry would work. Soaks right in, 25 year sealed and when it dries you wouldn’t know it had been put on until the rain beads off it.

as above it’s not a problem stormdry or Thomson’s water shield be fine Baffles me why you want it unpainted though although saying that paint can generally the reason a lot of render fails over time!

No, sbr won't for two reasons.

1 it's water resistant not proof. It will eventually wear - on its own.

2 it's not really uv resistant. It can yellow quite bad, especially if painted on neat.

Everbuild Water seal is ok for the price, so is wykamol's version .

Barretine water seal is impressive.

Thompsons water seal is the benchmark.

Thomson water seal just sits on the surface like a paint. Stormdry is a gel so soaks deep into the mortar/masonry. They’re worlds apart in terms of quality and effectiveness. Not a chance Thompson’s is the benchmark.

Benchmark being the one everyone would think of. Easily available, everyone knows.

In the game we know of the specialist sealers that are way ebove in terms of quality and performance, for a rendered surface.
