Scrim or not to scrim

1.Board ceiling
2. Float walls
3. Cut back ceiling/wall angle
Next day...
4. Scrim ceiling/wall joint
5. Whilst walls dry, set the ceiling
6. Set walls
7. Get paid £££££££££££££££££
 
Will be float and setting majority of walls in my new house. Quite a few clinker block walls, so will be meshing them.
 
Weve always always scrimed any ceiling or stud wall join after floated before setting.

Bad practice not to imo!
I did say "I may be slow, but I'm rough". I wasn't kidding.
But in all seriousness I've never had any issues not doing them.
 
No scrim from the ceiling board onto the block work . How I was taught . It’s no different to

Sorry but that is wrong now that using fibre tape.

All mesh be it mono,silicone,scim is most effective to prevent cracking when used nearest surface as possible.

Will shiw you this on all manufacturer spec sheets.

My dad did too , could never understand it.

The issue I have is float doesn't bond to background through scrim as well
