Sciatica nightmare !!

Hiya lads. Looking for ANY advice to get me out of this nightmare I’m living in. 10 weeks ago I got sciatica. What started as me struggling to get my socks on and it painful when getting out of bed escalated into me not being able to drive the van, sit comfortably or work. Then what happened was me making probably the worst mistake of my life. I decided I’d numb the pain with vodka and at least me able to get some sleep. F*ck me was that a bad idea. Alcohol dehydrates the system causing nerves to become irritated and inflamed. Wow the pain was like nothing I’ve ever known. Anyway it’s not bad now but still nowhere near getting back to work stage. Look I know it serves me right for being a Pisspot before you start but any advice appreciated. Thanks

Get booked in with a physio, chiropractor maybe able to alleviate any instant pain but it’s just quick fixes with them a physio will work out a long term plan with you best to treat the cause rather than the symptoms and if it gets no better then you may need surgery

I'd book in for an MRI scan mate.
I had it really bad years ago. Chiropractor made it 10 times worse (and very dangerous it turned out). Couldn't drive or sit...awful.
Turned out (after an MRI) to be a bulging disc and had to have it removed.
That was 20 years ago been fine ever since.

Nowadays I'd just straight book an MRI or go to an osteopath.
Good luck!
