I have always used sbr on painted walls but a builder doesn't want it has anyone had problems with sbr on painted walls
I always make sure I do this if the customer wants it a certain way and I think there is a chance it will fail I always tell them before I start I will not be able to guarantee it,they usually change their mind and go with my option.:RpS_thumbup:Remember when you render you always weaken each coat, what's weaker than paint? You should warn the builder ,give him the advice re best options ,if he insists then he can't blame you if it de bonds

I can't see how sbr over painted walls is beneficial @djplasterer are you rendering or plastering?
i would imagine that sbr would just run off the wall.
