SBR problem??

hi,
been using SBR as a bonding agent , but recently once the scratch coat has cured and we top coat it, there are loads of little air bubbles,
Been using everbuilds SBR, mixing it with cement to make a paste, priming it first where needed, then rendering while its tacky??

is this right??

just read a pdf online that says i should knock the slurry up 1:1 with water? ive been doing it neat. could this cause the problem??

give it a coat of sbr mixed wth cement let it dry, then apply another coat whislt tacky then apply your render.

How have you been mixing up the slurry?

with a drill/mixer

Thats your problem. Your supposed to mix it by hand otherwise you entrap air.
