Exactly mate, he’s only 2.5 and I’ve done so many unnecessary weekends when don’t really need the extra money. Stopping that altogether now.
Family life is the most important thing you need in this life. Everything else is just the mechanics of life. Thats why i went into domestic work got fed up driving hours there and back to work on jobs that paid the best. The usual "granny will get you from school" through the week and at the weekend you through in an off the books job. Then you spend it cos You've got it, no further forward. As soon as I'd got work on domestic paying I felt I could work to my on benefit.

Exactly mate. I’m only 34 in a good position for my age due to a previous business. But always been money hungry. I know i’ll regret it later if i miss time with him now so sorting it out.

On another note, if you have to graft to provide. Theres alot of pride in that, they will understand that too, when older.

Used the new board finish on a bungalow throughout past weeks on board.. and it's safe to say it's unpredictable, it's almost too fine at times.. flattened first coat then fresh mix and the top coat shrunk in places almost like the first coat grinded through really pissed me off because I've never had a problem like that and it was only one set had to give a few extra trowels too get it right..

Annoying as f**k mate as it’s mind games. Id never think anything of putting a full room on. Not a worry in the world.

The gear went s**t so started breaking it up ceiling 1 wall then 3 walls etc to be safe. Then just when you think its ok put room on gear mugs ya lol

I was expecting a sarcy comment from you but fair play.
I was tempted to play but thought no that multi finish knackered me out this week, it was over mixed backgrounds, boarded ceilings glue and skim walls, gear was still naff on board but it was awful on the glue and skim

Nothing yet
I spoke to the rep yesterday but I was told they haven’t had a chance to test it yet. Made me laugh he did, told me multi finish was only designed to go over bg board and not knauf board lol it’s ok to go over a multitude of other backgrounds though he said. I just looked at him with a frown on my face in disbelief of what I was hearing. I don’t know the actual job role of the area rep but that was just the stupidest excuse I’ve ever heard. I showed him a few different backgrounds I would need to be covering and then referred him back to the bag guidelines and he was lost for words.

@lurpak do you get materials from the same place all the time mate ?
Or especially the two you have posted that have been s**t this year mate
Also I was gonna suggest like some of the others swap to gyprime just out of interest to see if you find a difference with it compared to pva and swap where you buy gear from if it’s same place

I'm up for trying new stuff, the problem is, it's like an impossible problem. If it just happened in a certain situation it would be easier to fix. It's also happening to others, even on board. It has to be the gear.

If I start changing things up, could open a can of worms. I'm skimming 6 days a week so in the grand scheme of things it's rare, but it's so f**k**g annoying,

So what your saying is we will never be able to have that group hug ... and it's bloody Christmas

Just aint me mate, nothing against the people who do that sort of thing. I wouldn't mind linking up for graft tho, just not for owt else.

Just finished a float and set kitchen and the multi finish was mint to use over bonding coat, no problems at all.
It’s been crap on board and glue and skim for the past 2 weeks but great on bonding coat today
