Building a summer room at mo at roof stage would 7x2 timbers do @ 450centres at a span of 3.2m vaulted ceiling

It will be just a vaulted ceiling with no collar ties or purlins just rafters with 3 velux windows

Remember to double joist and bolt the joists that surround the veluxes

If you haven't got anything really tieing it in use truss clips and just like join said.

Looked at one of the roof calculators on building control they say 6x2 on a span of 3.4 @400centres thanks John will be cripple studs around the velux windows and the trimmers
