hi chaps whats am i best using to repatr 2inch strip of cornice joiners cut it out to put timber in but the job got changedthere are 4 of these to do thanks

Casting plaster.

i take it its a running mould not an egg and dart etc
core it out with bonding, keep it back around 10mm from the other existing cornice surface,
mix up some casting plaster and fill it out with a small tool.then use a joint rule and rule off the existing cornices lines.
its a bit difficult to describe but you get the jist.

How much time is involved between coats? .......for shrinkage

no need for casting plaster just damp the old conice with a brush and use thick multi follow the shape withy yer joint rule and keep adding and scrapping off till finnished.
