Hello All
Does anyone know what renovating plaster is, a client has asked for it and I have no idea what it is. Cheers.

Renovating plaster is limelite its a cement based plaster that needs 24 hours curing time same as sand and cement. Im using it at the moment and would recomend using a dust mask when mixing as its a nightmare.

We do a lot of dpc work, client will only guarantee work if it s&c with their own additive(which they supply). Never tried Limelight but heard its dear!

Yeah its a bit pricey but its a good bit of gear dont get the same shrinkage as sand n cement and its alot lighter to use. british gypsum make there own version called Dri-coat its exactly the same as the tilcon limelite but a bit cheaper, not a lot though its still nearly £10 a bag

A lot of the time with dpc we are coating onto delta lath and can't get s&c leveled in one coat because of the weight and movement with lath. We normally get a coat on and scratch, leave to set overnight then hit it again to level off before finish coat. Its a nightmare because of time involved.
When plastering onto brick its fine as it takes the weight, rule off, scratch, when set apply finish.

Is Limelite or Dri Coat easier to work with on delta lath?

Limelite and Dri-Coat are both a lot lighter than S&C so a lot easier to work with. Always follow what is specified with damp work or the insurance will be void and it will be your ass they are chasing.

if deltas on the wall you wont have to use sand and cement or limelite, just use browning or bonding and put cement thru it as its a sod to set
