rendering a small surface underneath a roof

Hi, I've got a small area of external render I need to repair. It's the underneath of a small section of roof next to the sides of the bay - so effectively a small triangular ceiling (but outdoors) which has existing exposed laths in place. I would normally use bonding plaster of course but as it's outdoors, what can I use that is sticky enough? Wouldn't normal cement render just fall off? There is a texture too, coarser than tyrollean. Maybe bonding plaster would work, as it doesn't get any real weather. What do y'all think?
