Render Boards

Cool, its going onto a timber built extension then wants traditional sand and cement over them.Neber done em like this before.

Minsters/Sheffield/Encon always stock them.

Cheaper with OSB/Marine, barrier paper/membrane, riblath then s&c. Don't know if s&c can be used with render carrier board, probably need bagged polymers

So, you cannot use s&c on to render boards ?.

Would ne pointless. You cant directly apply s and c to render board. You still meed to give it an aid to stay on the wall like rendalath or eml but cracking is still highly likely.

Use polymer adhesive coat for spec or if it has to be sand and c then save your money on a render carrier and go with the wooden board lath/eml building paper method.

Warrior where u gettin aquapanel at that price?

Hi Guys

in a way you are all correct.....

Aquapanel Exterior can have a S&C finish, but you will need a basecoat and mesh finish first to stop any movement on the TF cracking straight through the S&C down the board joints.....

The board, basecoat, mesh and S&C will coat a little more in materials, but will be a much faster system and give a thinner and lighter wall, which will be less likely to crack.....

JJ - Give me a call if you want to discuss if further, if you go in EML and S&C, you could still price the alternative and see what you think.

Knauf Aquapanel Exterior comes in 2 board sizes:

1200 x 900 x 12.5mm
and
2400 x 900 x 12.5mm

The m2 price is usually the same for both sizes..... the smaller size is ideal for extensions and small refurb work...... bigger boards better for new build and larger projects.

Best to shop around the various distributors and merchants to get a comparitive price.

Some stock the external, some don't but can get them in very quickly. Some will break a pallet for smaller volumes as well, best to ask!

Good Luck Guys
