Am i right in thinking that using board instead of multi on a re-skim will give you more woking time,only going to do a hall stairs and landing so the extra setting time may be a bonus ?
 
not really..
multi likes a bit of suction to work properly so is usually ideal for a reskim but it all depends on how you control your suction..
boardy is designed for low suction backgrounds such as plasterboard..
if you want ages without using any cooking additives on a reskim...
absolutely muller your suction to death, then coat it with gypbond or somesuch (see the faq) THEN use board finish..
