I've got a marshalltown and it does the job OK. Mate uses one of those little woodworking hand rasps and seems happy with it. Not sure if there's a great choise out there?

mate get the mt one that's all I use don't get a normal rasp they clog up and get one without the rails then you can rasp the board in situ if needed

the mt one is designed fo plasterboard it has long slits that don't clog up

MT ones are good if you want to take 10mm off for F ups lol or the little G** ones are good for cleaning the edge up.

The rails definitely save wrecking your knuckles on the edge of a board but no good for trimming back angles on shitty builders boarding. Lol.

Got both the Mr ones ( rails and no rails)
Never seen both of them at the same time tho!

If you need to scrape back a bit of board thats fixed sticking proud then if you got the rails you cant do it!

Used my mt rasp today they are good, probably to good , only needed to take 1mm off and it took 2 off , remember don’t put to much pressure on
