Jst been researching Plastering in New Zealand.
will be out there in Feb 2011.
found a website with topics on housing
i dont know if this is true but it says that the external rendering they use is a Monolithic Plaster
and the houses in NZ are mostly bulit out of Kiln dry timber with low pitched roofs. but the render they use isnt entirely weather proof and is getting thru to the wood and rotting the building. apparently this is a massive issue in NZ and people are being advised to stay clear of buying the med style houses with flat roofs etc. because its about 15% of the property value to put right
is there any truth in This?
trying to get as much infomation on building in NZ as I can.
has the recession put the building trade on its arse as it has here?
would i be better off looking for other lines of work till it picks up?
i guess if theres a problem with these houses theres a lot of work about, right?
any advise or comments welcome
cheers Rob
