what do you reckon lads? ......personally ive never had probs with pva but gypbond etc seems the way forward

use both, all depends on the background, have had probs with pva but only cos of me being impatient!

Find PVA unreliable on paint...i usually WBA the night before then i know that when i hit it i don't have to worry.

builders merchants mate , i know travis do it .......insulation/plasterboard suppliers always seem to stock it, the price will vary it can be upto 50 odd quid for 10 litres but ive heard on the grapevine you can get hold of 5 litre tubs too

I always use PVA have used WBA before but l don'y like it to messy and can't be bothered to wait 2 hours before skimming

Never really had any problems, if the back ground sucks it in l just stick another coat of PVA on
