Hi guys,

I have a bathroom where the tiles have been removed from a dot n' dab plasterboard surface. As usual, the tiles have pulled off the plasterboard paper surface and gone into the gypsum centre in places. I really, really don't want to rip the boards off and start again - can I treat the surface with something then repair and skim?

Good evening mr bond, You really really should just replace the boards. If not pva and bonding and finish. It depends how badly damaged the boards are. Are you tiling again or paintin? And welcome to the forum.

Just PVA areas where papers either ripped the first layer off (so revealing the brown papery bit) and or the areas where its gone through to the plaster, then just skim as normal, only needs bonding if very severe, but even then if you are decent at skimming you can get away with not! :)

I would use betakontact or thistlebondit rather than pva, especially if you're through the paper:RpS_thumbup:

Just get M or Q or whatever the boffin is called at British secret service to invent a hollographic wall that looks new and skimmed..........job done james..........:RpS_thumbup:.
oh and welcome
