Polystyrene insulation

@Danny I used that stuff to make a floating floor in my conservatory and I can’t tell a difference to celotex/kingspan etc.
The prices they charge for this stuff is rediculous

That would be absolutely fine Danny.
Obviously thickness for thickness not as good as Celetex but way cheaper. If you wanted to go slightly better/dearer you could have a look at the graphite EPS, I used this to insulate the outside of my extension.

Ah good that is what I wanted to hear.... I will have a look at the graphite eps as well.

I should have a cutting list sorted today so should have a good idea on cost of the whole lot soon

The lower the lambda value or the higher the R value the better it will insulate but for a shed draught proofing will be as important as insulation. EPS70 is the lowest performing of the rigid board types at a lambda value of 0.036 with PIR boards like celotex and kingspan around 0.023. Some are even better but very costly. R value is the thickness divided by the lambda value

If you can get a decent thickness board in then eps70 would do fine but for equal performance you'd need about 35% more Eps70. If it was me I would go for EPS100 and then line the inner face with 1000gauge polythene with the edges lapped and taped before over boarding the inside.

Sometimes you can get seconds celotex which is a bit bent. Perfect for walls but no good for screeded floors.depends on price though.

Use an insulation specialist like Sheffield insulation group rather than wicked. Wickes and all the sheds are usually really expensive.

Last time I bought a pallet load of Kingspan tf70 at 65mm deep it was £32 per 2.4mx1.2m board
