I've had 1 request in 15yrs and I've worked for a bathroom & kitchen firm for 10yrs.

There again I don't advertise it so maybe chicken & egg scenario!

It's not hard but is labor intensive. Looks amazing if done well. If you can plaster you are definitely over qualified imo. Do a wall or two and you'll have it figured out in no time. I have a hard time believing it would take a 5 day course to learn it... After they show you the material and a little bit about prep what are they going to do with the other 4.5 days? I did a full day training course and I was mostly a big waste of time and mostly a tool sales presentation.

I use Vasari plaster most of the time. Great product and fairly reasonable price though it has gotten more expensive recently.

If you have an interest in it then have a go. If you become any good then it's a great earner. I would encourage a 5 day course. On it you dont just learn how to create a polished wall correctly but you will learn various other finishes that are totally different in appearance and application. Also about primers which are very important and dealers and waxes too. As for getting work it's tough at he start. Took a bit of time speaking with interior designers and the likes but now it's regular.
